Product Description:
Rashinban is an advanced insecticide introduced by Godrej Agrovet Limited (GAVL) in collaboration with Japan's Nissan Chemical Corporation. This product is specifically designed to protect chilli crops during their flowering stage, offering effective control over a broad spectrum of pests
Mode of Action:
The product contains two active ingredients—Fluxametamide 3.8% and Pyridaben 9.5%—in a Suspension Concentrate (SC) formulation. These actives work together to deliver dual-action efficacy. Fluxametamide functions as a GABA-gated chloride channel antagonist, disrupting the insect’s nervous system and leading to paralysis. Pyridaben, on the other hand, inhibits mitochondrial electron transport, blocking cellular respiration. This combination results in fast-acting pest control through both contact and ingestion.

Benefits:
Rashinban is recommended for use on chilli crops and is especially effective during the flowering stage. It targets a broad spectrum of pests including thrips, lepidopteran larvae (Leps), mites, and hoppers, helping to protect the crop during its yield-forming phase. This broad efficacy reduces the need for multiple insecticides and simplifies pest management for farmers.
The product offers several unique value propositions. Its broad-spectrum action ensures effective control over both sucking and chewing pests. It provides a quick knockdown effect, reducing crop damage by causing rapid pest mortality. Rashinban also exhibits strong translaminar activity, allowing it to penetrate leaf tissues and reach pests on both the upper and lower leaf surfaces. Furthermore, with its unique mode of action, it plays a critical role in integrated resistance management (IRM) programs, helping to delay the development of pest resistance.
