Torpid

Thiamethoxam 25% WG

Product Description:

Godrej Torpid – Thiamethoxam 25% WG is a modern, systemic insecticide from Godrej Agrovet, formulated to deliver quick, long-lasting control of a broad spectrum of sucking pests across various crops. With 25% of the active ingredient Thiamethoxam in water-dispersible granule (WG) form, Torpid offers excellent solubility, ease of handling, and uniform application in the field.

Mode of Action:

Thiamethoxam is a second-generation neonicotinoid insecticide that works by targeting the nicotinic acetylcholine receptors (nAChRs) in the insect nervous system. Once ingested or absorbed through contact, it disrupts nerve signal transmission, leading to paralysis and death. This mode of action is highly effective against sap-feeding pests and provides both preventive and curative benefits.

Benefits:

One of the key advantages of Torpid is its fast absorption and systemic movement within the plant, ensuring protection from the inside out. Even new leaves that emerge after spraying receive protection, which minimizes reinfestation. The product also exhibits long residual activity, providing pest control for several days and reducing the need for frequent applications.

Torpid is highly rainfast, meaning its performance remains unaffected by light rain after application. Its formulation allows for easy mixing and spraying without clogging nozzles, ensuring consistent coverage across the crop canopy. The recommended dose typically ranges from 80 to 100 grams per acre, depending on the crop and pest intensity.
